I have been attending CaAtherine’s Chair Yoga classes for nearly 2 years and I want to share my yoga experience with you and to say how much I highly recommend CaAtherine’s classes to anyone who feels they need more mobility in their life. I am 77 years old and had bad mobility issues before starting to work with CaAtherine. I have been attending CaAtherine’s Chair Yoga classes for nearly two years. With CaAtherine’s highly skilled, helpful lessons and encouragement on how not to give up, I have regained much of my mobility and am now walking up to a kilometre three times a week. 

I have now started Functional Fitness with CaAtherine, and though I have to drive over an hour to attend these classes, I must say the distance is absolutely worth the effort for the fitness level that I have gained. Both CaAtherine and Wendy are terrific teachers who give each student that personal attention to get the best out of them. The yoga group is such a fun and caring group of people who support each other. I am so glad that I found CaAtherine’s Chair Yoga Family.

Meryl – 77 years old

As many women of my age feel I had always looked after everyone but hadn’t really looked after myself. I’d had back surgery 6 years ago leading to nerve damage to the right side of my body, particularly my right foot. I then broke my right knee after a fall. All of the trauma to my body resulted in my being diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I also had severe asthma.  I was overweight, constantly sore and tired, and generally feeling flat. 

I was scrolling through Facebook and saw CaAtherine’s post about chair yoga. It took me a month to walk through her studio door but I’m so glad I did. I now attend 2 classes a week as well as meditation. I am more supple, have less pain and it’s the first winter I’ve not been sick for many years. I am calmer and have built my confidence again. 

In this group of people, I have found support and friendship. CaAtherine’s “quirky ” yet calming ways are a blessing. Her healing words and actions impact us all. We exercise, laugh, cry, then laugh some more. So don’t keep scrolling. Grab a chair and get involved!

My daughter-in-law saw the ad on Facebook for the classes and thought they would help with my anxiety.   I also had problems with my left shoulder.  After three months of attending classes my shoulder pain was gone.  I’m more flexible and less stressed.  I’ve made some great friends since joining the classes.     I’d definitely recommend Chair Yoga and Meditation classes to everyone.
